Manager, Global Supply Chain Analytics Job Description & Requirements
Responsible for overseeing the development of reporting processes and analyzing supply chain performance. The successful candidate will understand and interpret data, enabling supply chain decision making to improve efficiencies and reduce costs. He/she will provide decision support and counsel by collecting, analyzing and interpreting data, to support the overall strategic and operating plans of Vista Outdoor and its supply chain. This candidate is also accountable for leading a team of analysts that creates analytics and reporting to support cross-functional teams. The candidate will be an excellent collaborator with our partners in Demand Planning, Inventory Planning, DC Operations, Logistics, Finance, and Sales, as well as a critical thinker and great communicator (both written and verbal). Data-driven decision-making, team management & development, effective communication, and technical skillset are key to this role.
This position is ideal for an individual with a strong analytical foundation with a Supply Chain/Logistics background. You will have the opportunity to develop data-driven insights to influence network strategies, operational execution, and budgeting decisions. We will look to you to continuously identify and develop opportunities for improving reporting processes while increasing data transparency. You will look for solutions to take raw data from several systems and transforming into valuable business insights. Moreover, in this role you will be responsible for the production of dashboards to assess key performance indicators to drive transparency and efficiency.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Lead and manage team of analysts
-
Create, publish, and monitor relevant supply chain metrics and reporting to provide data visibility and support business needs, highlighting areas of risk with solution options
-
Develop and manage initiatives and solutions to drive improvements in data and metrics visibility across the supply chain and Vista’s end-to-end business. Optimize data flow.

Be the primary partner for cross-functional stakeholders to understand key business metrics and definitions
-
Demonstrate expertise and guide functional groups to ensure reporting requirements are identified, designed, and distributed appropriately, highlighting and interpreting issues, trends, and variances within the data

Champion business data strategies with a central source of truth that drives multi-platform content as well as accountability across the organization

Provide root cause analysis to support decision-making by effectively communicating and translating data and results into business insights and actions

Effectively share clear, concise, accurate information that caters to the levels of detail needed by recipients
-
Respond to ad hoc requests from other departments
-
Continuously work to create efficiencies and improvements within reporting, procedures, scheduling processes
-
Create documentation / Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for all process work

Ability to lead and develop a high-performing team including workload management
-
Strong technical skills in SQL, M-Code, DAX, VBA, Power BI, Microsoft Excel

Experience with reporting solutions and data mining in relational databases
-
Experience in combining data from various sources together to produce cross-functional analytics
-
Strong analytical skills in assessing business processes, systems, and information flows, as well as compiling and assessing data

Understanding of key supply chain metrics and their drivers

Knowledge of supply chain and/or planning, inventory, DC operations, and Logistics
-
Effective communication and collaboration with all levels of the organization

Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills, including facilitation skills and influencing skills

Customer-oriented focus and ability to work in cross-functional teams

Ability to resolve high profile issues

Ability to operate in a complex, rapidly changing environment while adhering to schedules

Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously ensuring timely and accurate completion of each; outcome-focused and experienced in project management as a means to plan, track, communicate progress and ensure on time delivery of projects.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for direct managerial supervision of 2 Supply Chain Analysts.
TRAVEL Travel to factories as required to support business goals and supplier relations.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s degree in related field and/or 7-10 years’ related experience.
