Ski Sales & Customer Support (Golden, CO) Job Description & Requirements
Ski Sales and Customer Support
Who are you?
A highly motivated and friendly individual who wants to be a part of our Ski Sales and Customer Support Team. You’re stoked on getting people stoked--which means being friendly, approachable, and helpful, but also patient and calm under pressure. You’re physically competent--you probably ski, board, run, bike, hike, climb, swim, paraglide, sled dog race, or some combination of the above. If not, that’s fine; we’ll just have more to talk about if you do. You’re okay with working 10 hours on your feet and are able to lift 10-20lb. (up to 40lb.) fast, frequently, and safely. You work best in a collaborative environment and thrive as a part of a team. You are a self starter, and able to prioritize a variety of tasks to meet deadlines. You have excellent and thorough writing skills. You are adaptable and comfortable with a fluctuating work environment. If you have a paid subscription to OpenSnow then you’ll fit right in. If you aren’t super familiar with the ski industry, that’s okay. We’ll teach you what you need to know to succeed.
Who are we?
We believe we have the best ski shop in the Denver area as well as the best ecommerce ski shop in North America. Part of the reason is that we are whole-heartedly committed to providing a great customer experience. We do not sell skis, we help our customers find the right gear for them. We are open year round and continue to dedicate ourselves to skiing. We love biking, running, and everything else you can do on mountains but we try to be the best at something and that thing is helping skiers get the gear they need.
What you'll do:
-
Assist customers looking for ski gear advice via phones, email, and in person
-
Communicate with the warehouse/shipping team
-
Adjust orders based on customer requests
-
Process customer returns
-
Accurately input orders into our system
-
Check in services such as tunes, mounts, and repairs for our team of technicians
-
Be flexible with responsibilities. We’re growing, and it’s exciting. But that means we have to assist other operations within Powder7 to make sure things are moving
-
Maintain a positive and friendly attitude to customers and coworkers alike
-
Clean skis -- lots of skis.
-
Learn about the latest ski gear, technology, and lifestyle.
When you'll do it:
There may be an opportunity to stay on as a full-time employee of the shop based on performance, work ethic, and the needs of the shop.
Peak season schedule (September- March) consists of 4 x 10hr shifts (8AM-6PM) with 2 consecutive days off. Off-season schedule (April - September) consists of 4 x 8hr shifts (8AM-4PM). During both seasons you will be scheduled on at least one weekend day, which in ski shop speak means two weekdays off (read: no lines, no crowds, no I-70 traffic). You must be available to work through the holiday season. Retail, baby.
