Product Procurement Specialist Job Description & Requirements
SUMMARY
Under general supervision, the Product Procurement Specialist will be responsible for supporting in planning, control, and execution of all activities related to the Felt Bicycle supply chain. Your ambition is to collaborate with the best suppliers in the market, to research our goals within the bicycle industry. You must have an extraordinary passion for bicycles, relevant experience and a deep understanding of the bicycle industry.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Set up processing and structures within the product development department
· Support and maintain the yearly target plan and take responsibility for cost control
· close collaboration with product management, production, quality management and sales to ensure fast and high-quality delivery
· Collaboration with engineering and marketing
· Control of the forecasting process
· Data analysis in regards to product capacity
· Development of KPI standard
· Build and coordination of purchase orders to be placed by Austrian procurement team
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Generally, requires a minimum of one (1) to three (3) years of experience in the bicycle industry, specifically in supply chain purchases. Advanced knowledge of bicycle industry, logistics ad product planning. Required proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in business related field required.

· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
· Knowledge of industry related products/trends and business development
· Knowledge of company products, policies, and procedures
· Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline driven and constantly changing environment
· Ability to prioritize workload, meet deadlines and understand when to escalate potential issues
· Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to use tact and diplomacy; must be a team player
· Analytical abilities
· Ability to ride a bicycle with proficiency and follow company riding policies
· Professional and confident with the ability to work independently
· Flexibility to switch gears with little notice
· Must be self-motivated with the ability to use own initiative, exercise patience, be dedicated and goal oriented.

CONTACTS:
Internal: VP Bike Division; District Sales Managers; Sales Administrative support staff; Dealer Development department; Customer Service department Executive Management.
External: Current and prospective dealers, some direct consumers, independent sales representatives
JUDGEMENT/REASONING ABILITY: Ability to recognize discrepancies and resolve problems quickly using sound judgment, poise and diplomacy. Requires ability to use judgment and reasoning skills, and determine when issues need to be escalated.

Other factors are:
· Ability to travel as needed. Approximately 20% travel required
· Ability to travel outside the country

· Ability to work extended hours as required
