Outdoor Youth Mentor Job Description & Requirements

We're a wilderness therapy program that takes at-risk youth backpacking in the desert backcountry of Utah.
Our clients issues include ADD, depression, anxiety, sexual behavioral problems, and more.
We learn and coach clients on primitive skills like fire-building and trap-setting.

This job may be the most challenging yet rewarding job you've ever had. Personal growth is required.

A shift runs either 4 or 8 consecutive days in the field, with either 3 or 6 days off at a time.

Pay ranges from $135-220 a day plus bonuses and overtime
Expect to make $45,000 your first year as you advance from assistant field guide to a "Level 3" Field Instructor.

Must be at least 19, if not 21+
Must be willing to make a 1-year commitment
