Operations Manager Job Description & Requirements

The Operations Manager helps to keep SLRC running smoothly each day. Behind the scenes, your number one priority is to ensure that the back end of SLRC is functioning at optimal levels daily in order to create the environment for all members of the team to meet the customers' expectations.  Product flow oversight, IT oversight, general operations oversight, store repair, maintenance and upkeep are all in your wheelhouse. You are detail oriented, organized, love to learn, are a problem solver and thrive in a fast paced and physically demanding retail environment.  You oversee the product flow manager and operation assistants, often working side by side with them, as well as leading out in all operational projects.


Education & Industry Exposure: 

  • 3+ years’ retail operations management experience in a specialty environment, preferably outdoor or running industry 

  • bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or an additional 3+ years’ of industry experience.  

Technical Background: 

  • Prior experience with IT hardware/software/digital assets beneficial or otherwise high level of general technical savviness. 

  • Clear understanding of specialty retail operations  

  • 3 or more years personal Fitness experience 

  • ability to work in a fast paced, team environment
