Manager, NA Logistics Job Description & Requirements
General Summary
The North America (NA) Logistics Manager oversees the logistics team that supports operations for North America. This role is responsible for successful import shipments from factory cargo ready date through the routed destination for the US and Canada. Operational oversight includes all aspects of shipment related activities and events including physical, and data required for successful product delivery to North America.
Essential Responsibilities
- Drives inbound operational delivery from factory to North America including Direct Ship to Partner program, distribution center(s), transload operations and logistics crossdocking. Global origin operational ownership of shipment bookings, logistics scan / pack systems, and any 3pl consolidation operations
- Oversees all KEEN paid US domestic shipments including shipments from the US DC’s to both Partners and Fans. Scope includes US Domestic shipments from origination or delivering to vendors, 3rd parties and other ancillary locations
- Builds KPI’s and manages of US and CA logistics providers
- Establishes operational excellence in collaboration with sales operations teams that drive value to partners and customers
- Oversees the Logistics team of employees. Administers performance reviews, coaching, and training. Participates in setting the annual goals for the department and ensures that team members understand their level of influence and contribution to those goals
- Drives operational execution of the Global Logistics strategy as set by Logistic leadership that aligns with company values and in accordance with Canada and US import compliance laws
- Partners with Global Logistics leadership on developing freight budget in collaboration with the Global Finance team on annual basis that supports PPV process. Manages Global Logistics operational team responsible for operational approval of expedited and premium shipping methods. Recommends and seeks optimization opportunities that supports freight budget
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain or related field
- Seven (7) years of logistics operations experience including domestic and international
- Three (3) years of logistics management experience in both international and domestic operations
- Strong leadership experience with focus on coaching and motivating teams in high pressure environment
- Origin operations including consolidation (CFS), booking process, and factory floor label, scan and pack systems
- Expert in multimode including Ocean, Airfreight, Trucking and Parcel
- Third party vendor management of carriers and logistics operations including CFS, Transload and Cross Dock
- Strong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills. Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization
- ERP experience required. SAP Preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to think creatively and propose solutions to problems
- Proven ability to protect the supply chain and provide delivery excellence
- Project management and ability to build plans and process improvements
Travel Required
Up to 10% of work time will involve travel
