Gunsmith & Firearms Manufacturing Specialist Job Description & Requirements

We are looking for an experienced candidate who shares our values to join our rapidly growing team. The ideal candidate is highly skilled, dynamic, positive, personable, and self-sufficient.  If you have a can-do attitude and the skills and experience to perform a wide variety of firearms manufacturing related duties, we’re looking for you! This job is located at our manufacturing facility in Boise, ID.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Install parts such as metallic, plastic, rubber, wood, optical sights, recoil pads

  • Fit and crown barrels 

  • Install muzzle brakes

  • Pillar bed bolt action rifles

  • Apply Cerakote paint to rifle metal parts

  • Test feeding and ejection of rifles

  • Operate CNC equipment. 

  • Test fire firearms for function and/or accuracy 

  • Operate various machines to manufacture rifle parts

  • Operate power and hand tools to assemble and/or repair firearms 

  • Provide support to QC, R&D, and management on technical issues 

  • Properly utilize machines tools and personal protective equipment 

  • Daily policing of work area to reduce hazards

  • Follow all OSHA and EPA safety rules

  • Other duties as assigned





Qualifications/Skills:

  • capable of autonomously assembling and testing rifles

  • Experienced in data collection and record keeping.

  • Highly organized, dependable, accurate, responsible, and work independently

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

 

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent

  • Preferred Education and/or Experience: Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

  • Firearms, shooting and testing experience

  • Competency in MS Office

Compensation: $19-$27 per hour depending on experience. Medical and personal time-off available.
