eCommerce and Digital Marketing Lead Job Description & Requirements

The e-commerce lead must be the top customer advocate, scouting market needs as they relate to overall customer experience and orchestrating our e-commerce platforms to meet those needs. You’ll evaluate purchasing decisions and buying needs of customers to make informed decisions regarding promotional strategies, pricing, and product lines. We seek a highly motivated individual who brings a more holistic view of customers' needs, industry best practices, and how to create a more interconnected online purchase funnel that weeds out the dead ends in our online shopping experience.

Key employee touchpoints: Sales, marketing, finance, and leadership. 

The kind of things you’ll do: 
  • Develop strategies and manage execution of eCommerce site including sales, traffic, content promotions, CRO, that drive engagement to harness sales-related insights to develop a superior online brand and shopping experience for customers 
  • Create frameworks that transform our social media and websites into highly profitable platforms
  • Manage the overall user experience including site navigation, UX strategy, checkout funnel, retention strategies, and promotional campaigns
  • Develop reports and provide frequent analysis of buyer behavior, product sales, marketing campaigns, and platform performance to identify opportunities for growth, ROI, performance, and track trends
  • Manage Amazon accounts and Amazon partners; including catalog and product optimization, paid media, reviews, third party reseller enforcement
  • Work with the marketing team to advise on digital marketing to improve quality and traffic acquisition
  • Communicate ecommerce business performance through a variety of metrics, OKRs, and KPIs, including share of search, product page performance, brand compliance across retailer channels, and sales rank, 
  • Create promotional offers across our online sales channels
  •  Analyze traffic to inform website maintenance and the effectiveness of marketing strategies
  • Manage and optimize paid media spend - Google, Facebook, display and retargeting
  • Optimize product category and detail pages for conversions
  • Assist in managing agencies and partners to efficiently and effectively execute AOP's digital plan
  • Keep a pulse on product availability and lagging products to create strategies to drive online revenue 
  • Work cross-functionally to create and support automation- and process-optimization tools

You Have At Least (Required Qualifications):
  • Bachelor’s Degree and 2-3 years of E-commerce experience
  •  Are proficient in:
    • Microsoft Office Suite  
    • Shopify
    • Klayvio
    • Amazon and other online e-commerce management platforms
