Food Service Manager Job Description
The Food Service Manager is responsible for the daily operation of the kitchen; including ordering food, managing kitchen staff, preparing, and serving healthy meals for roughly 20-40 SRAC campers/guests. The position includes platform tent camping, meals, and rafting, SUP, or inflatable kayaking on the Salmon River! $700 per 6 day work week.
The Food Service Manger Must:
⦁ Hold a current Food Protection Manager Certification Handle all kitchen code/ inspection responsibilities
⦁ Have 1-2 years of working in a commercial kitchen
⦁ Be available to work June-August Manage and supervise kitchen assistants (guides/camp staff)
⦁ Open the kitchen at the beginning of the season
⦁ Close the kitchen at the end of the season Prepare a menu with budget, food waste, and allergies in mind
⦁ Order food from Sysco and/or the local Save Way Prepare and serve meals on time at 7:00am, 12:00pm, 6:00pm
⦁ Let Operations Manager know when equipment repairs are needed Let Operations Manager know when supplies are needed

⦁ Be mature and professional
⦁ Work well under pressure
⦁ Work long hours and not be subject to burnout
⦁ Be a team player
⦁ Be willing to try new things
⦁ Be willing to live out of a tent at the SRAC Base Camp for the summer Attend our annual Guide Training Clinic
⦁ Embrace our Core Values (see below)
⦁ Clean up after yourself in the kitchen Be kind and respectful to everyone
⦁ Pick up trash on the property and on the river
