Accounting Assistant / Bookkeeper Job Description & Requirements

M.T. Imports Inc. operates multiple businesses in the Vail Valley since 1993. Business operations currently include Valbruna, a clothing retail store in Vail, Mangiare, an Italian food market in Minturn, Hotel Minturn and the Minturn Inn and importing and distribution of apparel in North America.

We are looking for a motivated individual to join us in the Accounting Department, reporting to the Owner and the Accounting Manager.

Responsibilities:

•              QuickBooks Desktop data entry

•              Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable

•              Maintaining subledger accounts by verifying, allocating and posting transactions

•              Assist with reconciliations

•              Miscellaneous accounting and administrative tasks

 

Qualifications:

•              Knowledge of basic bookkeeping principles

•              Detail-oriented with high degree of accuracy

•              Excellent communication & organization skills

•              Willingness to learn further accounting skills & take on responsibility

 

Education/Experience:

•              QuickBooks Desktop experience

•              Excel proficiency

•              Bookkeeping or related work experience

•              Accounting or business degree preferred
