Assistant Manager, Retail Store Job Description & Requirements

We pride ourselves on outstanding customer service and carry the finest products the outdoor industry has to offer. We are looking for an experienced, high-energy retail professional that loves the outdoors, is knowledgeable of a wide range of outdoor products and thrives on customer service. The 6-million acre Adirondack Park is the largest protected area in the northeast and offers you a chance to live, work, and play right in your own backyard

Assistant Manager Responsibilities

· Assisting with the organization and supervision of operations

· Assisting with the handling and managing of customer service

· Assisting with inventory management

· Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service

· Assess customers needs and provide assistance and information on product features

· Follow and achieve department’s sales goals on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis

· Maintain in-stock and presentable condition assigned areas

· Actively seek out customers in store

· Process POS (point of sale) purchases

Ideally you will have:

· 1+ years of proven experience at a in an outdoor retail POS environment

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Merchandising skills and experience

· Ability to work weekends & holidays

· Demonstrated ability to motivate, lead and delegate

· Must exhibit a high degree of flexibility, maintain a solution-driven focus in challenging situations, adapt quickly to changing business requirements

· Excellent computer skills and experience with MS Office and POS systems.
